The Kingdom of Fourland, also known as Trapla, is comprised of 4 different regions:
The four regions were once each separate nations until invaders from across the sea attacked and the lands were united by the Royal Family. The current reigning monarch is Julius Fourland.
Spada[]
Spada is the southern region of Trapla and the primary setting of the series. Its capital is Shield. Spada is home to many of the most important locations of the series, including the headquarters of Pinochle and the Old Maid Branch. The State Capital and Parliament buildings are located in Shield. Other locations in Spada include Angkatell, Lempriere, Marston, Clithering, Debenham
Lozenge[]
Lozenge is the eastern region of Trapla. Its capital is Bell Land, which has a famous entertainment district and casino strip. Lozenge is heavily featured in the opening episodes of High Card. Other locations in Lozenge include: Narracott, Blower, Brent, Magnussen, and Wargrave.
Silphium[]
Magic Rose, capital of Silphium
Silphium is the northern region of Trapla. Its capital is Magic Rose. Its said that when the mage Lala appeared with the future king of Trapla, he did so in Magic Rose. The capital has since become a sacred site for the followers of Lala, who regularly make a pilgrimage to Magic Rose, which led the capital to ban cars from entering the city center. Other locations in Silphium include: Augusta, Morstan, Hudson, Heimish, and Hoopa.
Polostick[]
Polostick is the western region of Trapla. Its capital is Acorn Field. Other locations in Polostick include: Savernake, Rattery, Lemarchant, Warren and Mayhew.
