Tilt (Flann Oldman) is a member of the Klondike Family and the player of the King of Spades. A man at the mercy of the cards.

Personality[]

Background[]

Although he grew up in a wealthy family, he had a difficult time getting along with his parents and turned to delinquency, such as repeating theft.

When he was 17 years old, he was enraged when his parents were killed by Ban after he stole an X-Playing card.

The card resonated with his feelings, and he became possessed by San Galgano. However, Zenon falsified his memory and made him believe that he had killed his parents. Flann, who had no place to return to, is named "Tilt" by Ban and becomes a member of the Klondike Family. . While his ego is eroded by San Galgano, he attempts to free himself from the card in order to reunite with his younger brother, Finn, whom he has left alone.

A young executive of the Klondike family. He mediates front companies and transactions. He is open-minded and philosophical about the power struggles within the family. Under Ban's instructions, he uses his men to collect the cards.

He is a high ranking person because of his position at the dinner table in episode 8 which is right next to the one of the "Boss of the family" and according to Bil's line "I have to settle for a miserable corner of the table" during his second fight with Finn.

He is eventually neutralised by Finn while attempting to slay the Joker during the coronation ceremony. At the end of the season, it is mentioned that his body was never recovered and that his death remained unconfirmed.

Ban Klondike[]

Tilt is exceptionally loyal to Ban. Tilt pushes himself to the limit trying to fulfill Ban's expectations, though he responds that it is all for the sake of the family (#14:TRUTH OF THE HERO). Tilt is trusted with important tasks for the family including the mission to steal the X-Playing Cards, dealing with the Black Knight and handling the police after they raid the Klondike mansion.

Burst[]

Burst is Tilt's confidant and right hand. Burst does not trust the Klondike Family and believes that Tilt will be thrown away by Ban the second that Tilt has fulfilled his purpose (#17: LOOK AT ME). Burst is the player of the Ace of Hearts which allows her to turn into other people. To try and save Tilt, Burst drugs Tilt, taking his card and collects all the cards Zenon stole from Pinochle. She uses her ability to become Tilt to try and destroy the Joker, but fails when she cannot control San Galgano (#18:HOLD YOUR HAND). It is revealed in #19: PRISONERS that she has been using this ability to turn into Iris Moyes, making Burst responsible for the numerous operations Iris has performed for the family, while the actual Iris lives in seclusion after Burst faked her death. Burst tends to work alone and is rarely seen with other members of the Klondike Family.

The Black Knight[]

Tilt is the player for the King of Spades, which turns him into the Black Knight. The Black Knight, similar to Love-P, appears to be a separate personality tied to the card. The Black Knight desires the other X-Playing Cards and seeks to devour them, and can forcibly takes control of Tilt's body. Tilt appears to suffer physically and mentally from the possession. Tilt can see the Black Knight in his mind as a separate entity even when his card is not active (#19:PRISONERS).

Finn Oldman[]

Finn is Flann's younger brother, whom he cares about more than anything. He desperately wishes for them to be together again, his objective being to free himself from San Galgano's curse before that. However, because of San Galgano's influence he became unstable, his card eating away at his consciousness and twisting his feelings in the process. Thus, Flann is determined to kill everyone who would get in his way. Flann also pressured Finn to leave HIGH CARD at some point, claiming they were not his real family and that he should return to him, his only blood-relative left.
